Gene Hatfield and I have been published in a new publication "Arkansas Curiosities" written by Janie and Wyatt Jones of Conway, Arkansas.
Gene is a very fine friend and mentor of mine. He taught art at the University of Central Arkansas for, I believe, 37 years and was recognized "Distinguished Professor Emeritus".
Janie and Wyatt are friends of Gene and I and are very fine writers. Wyatt is also a musician. This latest book Arkansas Curiosities is very interesting and entertaining and is very well written and I congratulate Janie and Wyatt for their fine work and professionalism. I am impressed.
I also want to thank the Jones team for including me and Gene. I am truly honored that they thought of me as a "Curiosity" of the state of Arkansas. I think that's a good thing, Ha! I just read a quote of Damien Hurst, a world renowned artist who said " Any publicity is good even if it's not good for your career", so Janie and Wyatt I am grateful to you both.

I would like to clarify something about my blog pertaining to the British Petroleum spill in the gulf of Mexico. I sounded like I was pointing a finger at only BP but I am pointing my finger at the entire oil industry if they all do not keep, from the beginning of drilling til the capping off the oil well, a shut-off valve at the ocean floor. They all are full of bullshit if they say it can't be done, and if they do not develop a functional safety valve as such and install it at the very beginning then they are criminally negligent, and if the US government does not enforce the implementation of such a device then the government is criminally negligent even if the people can't enforce it.
